2018 年 10 月 1 日より、Skype for Business Online は 500 シート未満の新規 Office 365 顧客のテナントには含まれなくなります。 マイクロソフトでは、昨年 Ignite 2017 で発表した構想である、Skype for Business Online の機能を Microsoft Teams に移行するためのロードマップが完了したことを8 月にアナウンス (英語) いたしました。Teams はメッセージング、会議、電話機能に関する完全な機能を持ちます。 2018 年 10 月 1 日より、Skype for Business Online は 500 シート未満の新規 Office 365 顧客のテナントには含まれなくなります。Skype for Business Online を利用している既存テナントは、新規ユーザーのプロビジョニングを含め、Microsoft Teams に移行される日まで引き続き使うことができます。
ちなみに、Microsoft Teams は SharePoint との強力な連携機能を活用することで、より使い勝手よく使いこなせるようになります。Microsoft Teams を利用する方はぜひ SharePoint の最新機能も含めて把握するようにしましょうね。
Microsoft StaffHub の機能がメンバーの「スケジュール機能(Shift)」として Teams に取り込まれ、単独の StaffHub 自体は機能がなくなります。
Microsoft 365 管理センターにも次のようなメッセージが届いていました。
Starting in September 2018, we will be rolling out new features in Microsoft Teams designed to simplify schedule management, and deliver the tools and information every worker needs.
Starting on April 1, 2019, Microsoft StaffHub will no longer be available for new tenants and will be removed from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and all other points of access. Microsoft StaffHub will then stop functioning for all users on October 1, 2019. Anyone who attempts to open it will be greeted with a message directing them to download Microsoft Teams.
2019年4月以降、Microsoft StaffHub は新しいテナントでは利用できなくなり、各ストアからも削除されるとのこと。2019年10月1日には機能が停止されるので、それまでに Teams へと移行することになりますね。

SharePoint との連携
また Microsoft Teams は SharePoint との機能連携もより進んでいきます。チャットをメインで使おうと考えいてる方が多いようですが、個人的には逆だと思っていて SharePoint などの様々な情報を チームのチャネルに集約しつつ、様々に集約したコンテンツからいつでも会話を始められるんだ。と考えるのが利活用促進には重要です。

As a developer, you can take advantage of many services to complete your app, including document storage, a page model that allows for easy customization, SharePoint lists for basic data, connections to APIs and data from Microsoft Graph, and much more.
また SharePoint サイトをチームに接続できるようになります。現在、SharePointサイトを Office 365 グループに接続できる機能は提供されています。が、これを一足飛びに Teams に接続できるようになります。つまり Office 365 グループを作成して、かつ Teams に接続してチームとして利用できるようになるということ。次のスクリーンショットのように接続用のメニューが表示されるようです。

続いてはSharePoint Server 2019関連情報です。SharePoint Server 2019 に関しては SharePoint Online相当に近づいてくる印象です。ただし、オンプレミスでは Microsoft Graph や AI などは当然利用できないため、機能面では Office 365 としてのSharePoint Online にやはり軍配が上がります。
SharePoint Server 2019
SharePoint Server 2019の目玉はOnline版と同様にモダンUIの導入です。モダンUIをベースとする新しいチーム サイト、コミュニケーション サイトが利用できるようになります。
ちょっと前まで SharePoint で BI をやろう! という話が合ったのですが、もう時代は Power BI。SharePoint が担ってきた一つの役割が終わりを告げます。また、Access Services や InfoPath に関して PowerApps がゲームチェンジャーでしょうね。これが後継となります。PowerAppsをもう少し進めていけば Common Data Service との組み合わせが待っています。Machine Translationも Microsoft Flow と連携させれば、もはやサービスとして SharePointにビルトインする必要はないわけで。そして、ようやくコードベースのサンドボックス ソリューションも削除されます。開発の手法はサーバーサイドから SharePoint Frameworkを中心としたクライアントサイドヘと加速していき、時代はクラウドへと本格的に進んでいくのかなぁという気がしています。
Microsoft Search は既にロールアウトが開始されていますが、残念ながら日本はまだです。Microsoft 365 管理センターに下記のメッセージが届いていました。
